VIDEO: Dramatic footage captures massive tornado in Louisiana, town in shreds, one woman dead

At least three people have been confirmed dead and others injured in a series of powerful storms and tornadoes that ripped through the Deep South on Monday.

On Monday afternoon more than 70 tornado warnings were in effect across Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi and there were at least 33 tornado reports.

The article goes on to state the following:

The most aggressive of the storms was an ‘extremely dangerous’ twister that pummeled the northwest of Alexandria, Louisiana, located about 200 miles northwest of New Orleans, starting at 12.30pm.

The massive tornado reportedly ripped through a 63-mile section of Louisiana, from DeRidder to Alexandria, and left the town of Alexandria in shreds.

One woman, identified as Betty Patin, 59, was reportedly killed in her mobile home.
