Actress Mira Sorvino called out Hollywood “predators” during a speech at Saturday’s Women’s March in Los Angeles, slamming “the Harvey Weinsteins, Jeffrey Epsteins, Bill Cosbys, and R. Kellys” of the world.
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — An investigative documentary about Jeffrey Epstein and how the millionaire sex offender avoided scrutiny is coming to Lifetime.
What a brutal blow-up!
Earlier this week, we reported on a major incident between R. Kelly‘s two live-in girlfriends in Chicago, Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage. And as it turns out, the fight was everything it turned out to be and then some… because video of the incident has emerged, and it’s super disturbing.
The whole thing went down at Trump Tower in Chicago, where the R&B singer maintains a residence.
As you can see from the video first obtained by TMZ (below; violent content and adult language warning!), the two woman go at it while multiple people try to break them up from fighting each other. Eventually, the fight spills into a hallway, and it looks like both get a few serious knocks in during the length of the altercation:
BTW, from what we understand there, Azriel is apparently the one in the lighter-colored sweater, and Joycelyn is in the black. Tough to say who “won,” considering both women landed some serious blows, and one (Azriel) ended up in the hospital afterwards. The other one, Savage, was taken in by the cops later, and eventually booked for battery upon turning herself in as a result of the fisticuffs.
Everything about everything surrounding R. Kelly continues to be crazy, to be honest. The I Believe I Can Fly singer is facing serious sexual abuse and sexual assault charges of his own right now, as we’ve been endlessly reporting on, and for a while there it seemed like the only people in his corner were Clary and Savage.
Now, though, there’s a definite rift between the two women, to say the least. It’s unclear what this may mean for Kelly, who has bigger fish to fry. We do know this may mean at least one of the girls jumps ship, though — which, judging by the fight itself, it might not be the worst thing if they did go their separate ways or something. Yeah…
Pretty crazy, isn’t it, Perezcious readers?! The drama just never seems to end for the singer or anyone around him, does it?? Yikes!!!

The post Video Surfaces Showing That Brutal Fight Between R. Kelly’s Live-In Girlfriends… appeared first on Perez Hilton.
Azriel Clary was 17 years old when she left her parents, Alice and Angelo Clary, to live with R. Kelly. She and Kelly’s other live-in girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, often spoke publicly in the singer’s defense, even as accusations of sexual abuse against him multiplied in the wake of the Lifetime docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” and […]
R. Kelly‘s live-in girlfriends reportedly got into a physical fight on Wednesday at the embattled singer’s Trump Tower condo in downtown Chicago.
Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage could be seen yelling at one another inside the condo, as the beginning of the apparent altercation was captured on an Instagram Live clip published briefly to Clary’s account (which you can see HERE). After a screaming match, supposedly over Clary packing up belongings to leave, her phone is jostled and falls to the ground; chaos ensues, before you’re able to hear several people step in to break up the fight.
While it’s unclear exactly what went down during the apparent incident, we do know Chicago police responded to the spat around 2:10 p.m. local time on Wednesday afternoon. Somebody called 9-1-1 to report “a call of a battery in progress inside of a residence involving two females,” according to a spokesperson for the department.
The spokesperson added more details in a statement to People, too:
“Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 22-year-old female victim who relayed that she and a 24-year-old female were engaged in a verbal altercation that became physical when the 24-year-old female offender struck the victim in the face. The female victim and the 24-year-old female offender were engaged in a physical altercation until separated by unknown individuals at the scene. The offender fled and is not in custody at this time. The 22-year-old female victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition.”
Wow! Quite the violent afternoon…
According to ABC 7 Chicago, Savage (the 24-year-old described in the statement, also pictured, above) eventually turned herself in to police hours after the incident. She was arrested and officially charged with one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
As the statement also notes, Clary (the 22-year-old listed in the briefing) was hospitalized in good condition. It’s unclear whether or not she’d been discharged as of Thursday morning.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
According to TMZ, Azriel claimed she and Joycelyn had sex when she was a minor, threatening to report her to the cops.
Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg responded to the accusation, saying:
“I have a statement written by Azriel that she provided to me, voluntarily, after Robert was already in jail, that said she never had sex with him when she was underaged. As far as this little catfight, it is clear that it was staged to try and boost social media popularity.”
Interestingly enough, Savage did find the time to speak out to People ahead of her eventual arrest last night, and she used her time in the spotlight to call out Clary:
“This girl has been trying to sabotage me ever since the start of it all. It’s just gotten worse since we’ve moved in together at the Trump Tower. She’s so immature, she knew I was packing my stuff to leave so she decides to go on Instagram Live to cause a scene.”
Huh. Seems like… not a great situation for anyone involved.
Ironically, the fight occurred on R. Kelly’s 53rd birthday. The singer wasn’t there, though; he’s of course been in a Chicago-area jail for a while now, awaiting trial on multiple counts of sexual abuse and related crimes.
Still, it sounds like it was just another crazy day in Trump Tower, we suppose. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Where do we even go with this one? Ugh…
The first installment of last year’s Lifetime docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” accomplished what decades of reporting, legal action and often-overlooked public outcry did not: New charges and incarceration for the singer, who has had dozens of allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against him over the past 25 years. While Kelly awaits trial — on multiple […]
New decade, new disturbing accusations against R. Kelly.
In the second installment of Surviving R. Kelly, aptly titled Part II: The Reckoning, one of the disgraced singer’s former “girlfriends” claimed he forced her into a suicide pact, by which she would have to kill herself if the Grammy winner was ever arrested or harmed.
Jerhonda Pace (above, insert) met Kelly in 2008 when she was just 17 years old under unconventional circumstances: she attended his child pornography trial in Chicago as one of his supporters and biggest fans. She was allegedly introduced to Kelly outside the courtroom, and went on to start a relationship with him.
In the new episodes of the docu-series, which will air on Lifetime in three parts starting Thursday, January 2, Pace alleged Kelly used her undying love for him against her — and forced her into an arraignment that put her life at risk. She explained:
‘With Rob, I was part of a suicide pact with him. And if anything was to happen to him, if he was to go to jail or someone was to harm him, I was supposed to kill myself. When the suicide pact came about, Rob and I was in the mirror room, and he told me if I was everything to him like I say he is, then there would be no life worth living. He said, if something happens to me, I want you to take these pills.”
Being a young girl in love, Pace was ready and willing to go to hell and back for her celebrity crush. She added:
“When I was with him I was really ready to take my own life, because Rob was everything to me. Rob was my life.”
We don’t doubt that: love makes us do crazy things. Unfortunately for Pace, she was in love with a man who has been described as a “sociopath.”
Pace was interviewed in the first part of the docu-series, which aired last year and sparked a public outrage movement against the accused pedophile, but this was the first time she revealed the alleged suicide pact.
In addition to the new claims, the second installment of Surviving R. Kelly is showing new accusers who are speaking for the first time on camera. One of these women is Dominique Gardner, one of Kelly’s former live-in girlfriends whose rescue from a Los Angeles hotel by her mother was shown in the first part of the docu-series.
Another accuser, Tiffany Hawkins, who sued him in 1996 seeking damages and says she is the first young girl he abused, alleged how she watched the star having sex with a group of her underage friends.
She said on camera:
“Robert did ask me to bring friends with me and I did bring friends with me. They always wound up having sex. Always. It always ended up that way… The first time I met with Robert after getting his phone number, I gathered some friends, we went to his apartment. We were all talking, laughing, you know everybody had fun… There was a lot of laughs, joking. There was a lot of fun. My friends were all in his bedroom… So I would go in and out of the room. And every time I went in there, he was having sex with someone.”
Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniel‘s former lawyer who is suing Kelly on behalf of some of the alleged victims, insisted that the R&B star and his enablers should be held accountable for their alleged actions. He said in an interview:
“People look at some of these allegations and they blame the parents or they blame girls. Where they should be blaming people is where the blame f**king belongs and that’s with R.Kelly and his enablers. Period.”
As for the singer, he is currently in jail awaiting trial on a slew of sexual abuse charges across multiple states.

The post R. Kelly Accuser Claims She Was Forced Into SUICIDE PACT: ‘I Was Really Ready To Take My Own Life’ appeared first on Perez Hilton.
It has been a DECADE, y’all.
We’re not talking OJ Simpson or Princess Diana here, but the 2010s had some pretty wild, gut-wrenching, salacious, and jaw-dropping scandals of its own. Cheating, breakups, breakdowns, major courtroom battles, and, unfortunately, a whole lot of dirty old men. What a decade for debauchery…
There were so many to choose from, in fact, that we had a TON of trouble narrowing it down to the ten best (ten worst?). So… there’s a lengthy honorable mention list at the bottom of this post, too.
But without further ado, get into what you want and re-live the world’s craziness! Here are the ten BIGGEST celeb scandals of the 2010s (below):
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries
It’s the wedding heard ’round the world… Kim Kardashian West and Kris Humphries tied the knot in an over-the-top ceremony in 2011, but just 72 days later, the KUWTK star filed for divorce. At the time, the entire thing was seen as a publicity stunt for the Kardashian family’s still relatively new reality TV show. Things must have been really bad behind the scenes, though, because Kim barely made it past two months before being forced to officially split from the NBA star.
For his part, Humphries long threatened litigation over the entire incident, alleging he’d been used as fodder for the fam’s reality TV show, too. Nothing much ever came of it, though, and the pair’s divorce was finalized in April 2013. We look back on this wedding now with amusement, but at the time, this was a really significant scandal. Backlash was so severe that it seemed for a while as though it might derail the Kardashian fam’s rise to reality TV mega fame right then and there. It didn’t, of course, and the fam has only gotten bigger, but the Kris Humphries wedding marked one major mistake for a fam that very, very rarely steps out of line in the public eye. LOLz!
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
It was one of the most high-profile cheating scandals ever… in 2012, while dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, superstar actress Kristen Stewart got caught making out with Rupert Sanders, her Snow White and the Huntsman director. Sanders was married at the time, and had his own fall-out to deal with back at home. Stewart bore the brunt of the public’s reaction to the cheating scandal, and later publicly apologized for her major mistake. The apology was genuine and the remorse worked — for a while, at least — though she and Pattinson eventually called it quits for good a year later, in 2013.
As far as breakups and cheating scandals go, this is the biggest one of the decade in some ways. The media scrutiny on these two was already beyond intense after Twilight‘s release — and then, to have a successful real-life couple come out of the movie, only to have it all end like this. Just… wow. Even Donald Trump was obsessed with this couple for a while!
Amanda Bynes‘ career was on an upward trajectory in the late 2000s, fresh off her long-standing stints on All That and What I Like About You and several movies, like She’s The Man. But behind the scenes, by the time the 2010s hit, it was all bad for the former Nickelodeon star, who was in the beginning stages of a brutal Adderall addiction combined with major mental health issues that had apparently long been simmering. After dropping out of two movies — Post Grad and Hall Pass — Bynes took a hiatus from acting, and the trouble began.
In 2012, she was arrested on DUI charges in West Hollywood, and in 2013, she was charged with reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana during a run-in with the cops in New York City. Later that same year, she set a small fire in front of a random home in Thousand Oaks, California, and was put on a 72-hour involuntary psych hold; she almost lit her dog on fire in the process, as well. Erratic behavior and extremely bizarre tweets followed throughout these years, helping to develop her reputation as remarkably unstable. Eventually, her parents were granted a conservatorship over her affairs, and slowly but surely, things started to get better. In 2018, she revealed she’d been sober for four years thanks to her parents, and in 2019, though she had a scare at the end of the year, she was apparently looking for her own place to live once again.
A one-off comment on stage in October 2014 by comedian Hannibal Buress led to the downfall of one of the most iconic comedians and sitcom stars of all time. Mad that Cosby would criticize young black comics, Buress called out long-standing but largely unknown rape and sexual assault allegations against the former Cosby Show star. Buress had been commenting on the allegations as part of his act for months, but for whatever reason, a video of the comic’s comments on that fateful day went viral, and a media firestorm ensued. By the end of 2014, more than 60 women had come forward with credible sexual assault accusations against Cosby — some decades old — and the thoroughly disgraced icon had gone from legend to pariah in a matter of months.
One woman, Andrea Constand, was still within the statute of limitations on her accusations, and Cosby was forced to go to trial, facing three counts of aggravated indecent assault against the former Temple University employee. In 2018, Cosby was found guilty and sentenced to three to ten years in state prison. It was a remarkably light punishment relative to how many women came forward with horrific stories about their time with Cosby. Even to this day, it’s almost unimaginable how a family-friendly TV icon could have fallen so far — and yet, here we are.
Solange Knowles vs. JAY-Z
In May of 2014, leaked surveillance camera footage showed JAY-Z being physically attacked by Beyoncé‘s little sis Solange Knowles in an elevator after a Met Gala party. Queen Bey stood passively off to the side as Solange punched, kicked, and slapped the rapper, and a bodyguard did his best to break things up.
Immediately, fan theories swirled about what the cause of the commotion could possibly be. The fallout lasted weeks, with cheating rumors flying around and plenty of other reactions from every corner of the celeb universe. The trio eventually released a statement about the incident, and Beyoncé even mentioned it on her Flawless remix, further solidifying the legendary moment. It unquestionably was instrumental in raising Solange’s public profile, and even years later the girls’ father still gets a kick out of the video. No pun intended…
Though the infamous October 2016 Access Hollywood tape leak alongside sycophantic TV personality Billy Bush may be one of the most famous moments here, pretty much everything The Donald did this decade was scandalous. From years of his s**tty and inappropriate birther accusations against Barack Obama, to Trump’s own improbable candidacy and eventual underdog victory to reach the White House, the 2010s were (unfortunately) good to The Donald… and bad for the rest of us. Even Billy Bush made a regrettable (and forgettable) TV comeback after he’d decided he’d waited on the sideline long enough.
Fast forward to 2019 and Trump is still going strong, despite being the third president ever to be impeached by the House of Representatives for self-dealing conduct during a meeting with leaders from Ukraine. Forget consequences, though; The Donald has proven himself to be largely free of those, as he uses the new year to kickstart his 2020 re-election campaign. When will it end?!
Activist Tarana Burke first coined the term ‘Me Too’ way back in 2006 when referring to widespread sexual assault and sexual misconduct, but usage of the phrase — and its hashtag — took off into the stratosphere in 2017 and 2018. Those two years were a particularly powerful time for women in the entertainment industry and around the globe, as men in power were called to account for their allegedly inappropriate ways. Accusations against high-profile people ranged from rape and sexual assault claims, to inappropriate touching and sexual misconduct.
Dozens of men like Harvey Weinstein, Bill O’Reilly, Matt Lauer, Louis CK, and even Kevin Spacey saw careers pause or come to an outright end as part of the fall-out from the movement. Thankfully, hundreds of women finally had their voices heard — and deservingly so, after years of repeated sexual abuse and misconduct in some of the worst cases. The #MeToo movement — and its sister initiative, Time’s Up — can’t un-do all the bad things that have happened to women in the entertainment industry and elsewhere, but at least it brought to the forefront a frank and honest discussion about power dynamics and inappropriate behavior.
In a way somewhat similar to Bill Cosby’s situation, R. Kelly had long been dogged by decades of sexual assault and misconduct allegations. New evidence came to light in 2019, though, and the R&B singer was finally indicted on a variety of sex crime charges, eventually facing both federal and state prosecution for his alleged actions against multiple women. A month later, the singer gave an intense interview to CBS host Gayle King, insisting on his innocence and further charging an already emotional situation.
The peak of the scandal hit when the documentary series Surviving R. Kelly debuted on television later in 2019, reportedly enraging the singer and his team. A second part of the doc series is now set to be released in early 2020, too. Kelly has spent most of the year in jail while he awaits his trial dates in 2020; women who are accused of being his sex slaves have since come out to support him publicly, further muddying up what’s already been a remarkably shady case. Whenever it ends, Kelly may yet go down in history as one of the most prolific predators to ever work in the entertainment industry. Horrifying…
Empire star Jussie Smollett made the wrong kind of headlines early in 2019 when he reported what at the time appeared to be a violent, racist attack against him on the streets of Chicago by men wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ hats. Very quickly, police sussed out inconsistencies in the actor’s story, and it was later alleged the entire thing was a staged, fake attack. Political commentators and public figures from around the world weighed in on it, and for weeks, Smollett’s bizarre actions were the talk of the nation.
The actor was sued by the city of Chicago at one point, in a bid for the government to receive pay back for the hours they seemingly wasted on his case; he counter-sued them later in the year. Smollett also faced his own criminal battle in regards to the alleged hoax, but state prosecutors eventually dropped the charges against him, cutting him at least a bit of a break. He was on the outs with Empire producers pretty much immediately afterwards, too, but by the end of 2019 there was an outside shot they’d have him back for the show’s sixth season. What a wild time…
College admissions scam
In early 2019, federal prosecutors announced the results of a massive investigation leading to dozens of indictments in a wide-reaching high-profile scam allegedly being perpetrated by rich people to gain admission for their children into some of America’s most prestigious universities. Among the indictments were celebs Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman Macy, who were both accused of bribery and fraud in attempts to allegedly gain college admission for their respective daughters. Immediately the scandal rocked social media, and its fallout stayed in the headlines for months. Loughlin’s Full House character, Aunt Becky, quickly became a meme, and both women deleted all their social media profiles amid the incredible backlash.
Before the year’s end, Huffman Macy had agreed to a plea deal over the act of bribing an SAT administrator with $15,000 to help improve her daughter’s test scores. The Desperate Housewives actress ended up serving less than two weeks in a minimum security federal prison in northern California as a result; disgraceful though it may be, at least the drama was over for her before the end of the year.
Loughlin, on the other hand, chose to fight the feds in court alongside her husband, Mossimo Giannulli. The couple will have their day in court at some point in 2020, and the stakes are high! Forget about the deal Huffman Macy cut, because the accusation against the Fuller House star involves a significantly bigger bribe ($500,000!) and major deceit (fake rowing team bios!) with a major institution (the University of Southern California). Throw in daughter Olivia Jade‘s fledgling vlog career on YouTube, and you’ve got MAJOR family drama. Oh, what rich people will do with their money…
It was damn near impossible for us to decide on ten celeb scandals to rule them all, y’all.
Seriously — we debated back and forth for days, and ultimately left out a lot of salacious and controversial moments, like Paula Deen getting caught using the n-word, and the discovery of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s love child. There was the whole celeb nude photo hacking scandal, of course, as well as particularly bad behavior from men like Josh Duggar, Hank Baskett, Jake and Logan Paul, etc.
We nearly included more breakups, like the splits of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Considering the jail time involved, you might even be able to make a case for the ongoing saga surrounding Joe Giudice and estranged reality TV wife Teresa Giudice, too! And that crazy sex cult Allison Mack was involved with was widely considered, of course. Who doesn’t love reading about a sex cult?!
The Kardashians figured big in these scandals, as to be expected. We nearly included Kanye West‘s infamous comments on slavery, and gave a lot of thought to possibly adding in the love triangle drama that went down between Khloé Kardashian, Tristan Thompson, and Jordyn Woods. Kendall Jenner‘s poor choice of commercials was considered here, as was Caitlyn Jenner‘s brutal tell-all book fall-out. Kimye’s battle against Taylor Swift, full of leaked phone calls and snake emojis, was another one heavily considered. And Taylor’s own saga with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta may play out more in the next decade to come.
Lamar Odom‘s near-death experience was one more particularly significant story from the 2010s, as was Roseanne Barr‘s epic racist collapse. Kathy Griffin‘s staged beheading of Trump turned out bigger than we’d ever expected, too. Downfalls both serious (Whitney Houston‘s sudden death) and frivolous (Ariana Grande‘s donut-licking incident) also made the master list.
And s**t, who could forget #OscarsSoWhite?! And Kevin Hart‘s hosting hubbub?? Oh, and what about the colossal f**k-up in 2017 when La La Land was incorrectly named best picture, even though Moonlight had actually won the award?! That happened not even three years ago, and yet it feels like a lifetime… CRAZY!!!
Do you see what we mean now? So many options to choose from — and so tough to keep it at ten!
But there you have it! What do U think about all these scandals, Perezcious readers?! Did we choose right in picking the most salacious ones? What’d we miss?

Reviewing music is a walk in the park compared with reviewing books, which must be the most time-consuming occupation in entertainment apart from being parents of budding baseball players. For a similar reason, this best-music-books-of-the-year list is hardly a definitive one — there was a veritable avalanche of them released this year, utterly hopeless to […]
R. Kelly’s attorney entered a not guilty plea in the singer’s New York racketeering case via a remote connection from a Chicago courtroom on Monday, according to the city’s WGN and other outlets. Among multiple other charges against Kelly, the Justice Department earlier this month added a charge of bribery against the singer, accusing him of obtaining […]
It’s hard to imagine that R. Kelly would be in jail today without “Surviving R. Kelly,” the Lifetime docuseries that aired just under a year ago and threw decades of sexual-assault and misconduct allegations against the singer into dramatic relief. Just six weeks after the series aired, the singer was arrested on a new set […]
The Surviving R. Kelly, Part II trailer is here, and as the title suggests, it is absolutely time for a reckoning.
Lifetime released the powerful four-minute long teaser on its YouTube channel on Wednesday morning, and after watching the full thing (above), we’re reeling from how intense and emotional it appears to be. The first part of the channel’s controversial documentary on embattled R&B singer R. Kelly was impactful in many ways on its own, but this appears to seriously take things to another level. Are y’all ready for this?
Set to kick off on January 2, the three-night-long series will feature new interviews about Kelly’s controversial history with perspectives from a variety of sources, reportedly “including new survivors, supporters, psychologists, and experts.”
In a press release sent out Wednesday to accompany the trailer, Lifetime confirmed Damon Dash, Mathew Knowles, Jimmy Maynes, #MeToo founder Tarana Burke, W. Kamau Bell, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Angela Yee, Jamilah Lemieux, Cook County State’s Attorney Kimberly M. Foxx, Michael Avenatti, Gloria Allred, and more are all interviewed on camera for the highly-anticipated sequel to the Emmy-nominated series.
The network goes on to state more in the press release about what viewers can expect to see, writing (below)
“[The Reckoning] will offer more insights into the ever-growing saga of the R&B singer, who is currently facing federal and state charges. The three-night event uncovers new stories with revealing details and explores why the voices of the girls that spoke up decades ago are only now being heard.”
And hear them, we shall. We’ll see how the sequel measures up soon enough, but judging by the content teased here, this is going to be intense.
As we noted, the three-night event is set to premiere on Lifetime beginning Thursday January 2 at 9:00 pm ET; it’ll continue and conclude on the following two evenings. Also, for those who may have missed (or want to re-watch) the influential first part of Surviving R. Kelly, Lifetime is running the first six-hour special in its entirety immediately before this premiere, starting on January 2 at 3:00 pm ET.
Honestly, Perezcious this is among the most intense, well-done trailers we’ve ever seen for a TV special like this. If the three-night event delivers like this teaser suggests… wow. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but this could be even more impactful than the unbelievable first part when it first saw the light of day!

The post The Trailer For ‘Surviving R. Kelly Part II’ Is Here, And It’s Gut-Wrenching appeared first on Perez Hilton.
Without overstating the case, it’s hard to imagine that R. Kelly would not be in jail today if not for “Surviving R. Kelly.” While many of the details and accusers featured in the Lifetime docuseries were new, the primary facts have been known for many years — and yet the series, more than any of […]
One of R. Kelly‘s longtime live-in girlfriends has finally had enough of the drama surrounding the disgraced singer and his growing list of legal woes.
TMZ reports Azriel Clary has officially moved out of Kelly’s apartment at Trump Tower in New York City and their sources say she’s got big plans to kickstart a new chapter in her life.
Insiders with information about the 21-year-old confirmed she recently got her own place in Chicago and is no longer living with the R&B crooner’s other girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage. According to them, Clary is super overwhelmed with how things have been going lately and wants to distance herself from recent s**t show that went down with Savage’s fake Patreon page and focus on her future.
For our readers who might’ve missed it, a suspicious page appeared on the platform proclaiming to be Savage ready to tell the “real story” about the embattled recording artist. The site was never able to contact Jocelyn to verify the page was actually her creation, and days after it popped up, Patreon officially removed it from their site, concerned it was being run by someone else.
Those suspicions were proven to be true earlier this week after Savage went on camera and denounced the fake social media account while also doubling down on her support for the Bump N’ Grind singer.
In her scripted video, Jocelyn even references Azriel by name (although she does not appear in the clip) when she recited her plea to release their boyfriend from jail. She said:
“Please free him and let him come home in peace. I promise you, he is not the person you guys think he is. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and Azriel. I talk to him every day, and I see him every two weeks. He truly wants to thank all of his fans for believing in him, plus he wants you guys to know that he appreciates all of your letters, and it takes him a while, but he reads them all.”
Despite their supposed strong feelings for Kelly, Clary clearly wants out — or, a break at the very least! The outlet’s sources noted there’s no love lost as Azriel still claims to support her man.
So, what’s the next move?
Apparently, the next chapter involves making money through TV projects and modeling gigs.
The aspiring singer is also reportedly getting back to pursuing a career in music, something she supposedly put a lot of effort into before meeting R. Kelly. Azriel also has plans to document her daily life, showcase her vocal chops, and start acting.
It’s hard to imagine anyone in Hollywood hiring Clary with her unconventional and disturbing relationship to Kelly — but it sounds like she’s banking on her natural-born talent and the public’s sheer curiosity in what she could offer to take her to the next step.
We don’t exactly know what to expect but we wish her well! Hopefully, this is the start of a true and clean break from R. Kelly for good…
Azriel’s already got a head start on things, too, as she recently started a Twitter and YouTube page and has plans to restore her Instagram soon. Judging by the pics she shared from a recent trip to Philadelphia, it looks like she’s already in a better headspace and enjoying time out on her own:

The post R. Kelly’s Live-In Girlfriend Azriel Clary Moves Out On Her Own Amid His Ongoing Legal Drama appeared first on Perez Hilton.
A new criminal charge is being brought against R. Kelly for allegedly bribing a public official in 1994 to obtain a fake I.D. in order to marry his then-15-year-old girlfriend Aaliyah.
Per legal documents obtained by ET, federal prosecutors in Brooklyn are accusing the Ignition (Remix) rapper of paying off a government employee in Illinois for the identification card which listed the songstress’ age as 18.
Prosecutors allege Kelly “together with others” paid an official for “the creation of a fraudulent identification document” for a “Jane Doe” on August 30, 1994. The then-27-year-old singer is believed to have wed the emerging star the following day.
The Grammy winner’s former tour manager, Demetrius Smith, has claimed in several interviews (including the controversial docuseries Surviving R. Kelly) that he facilitated the fake I.D. purchase on his client’s behalf, in order for the two to wed. While the pair of singers long denied ever getting married, their marriage was later legally annulled by a judge in Michigan per Aaliyah’s parents in February 1995.
The new charge has been added to the existing racketeering indictment filed against the 52-year-old in the Eastern District of New York which alleges, in part, that he coerced underage girls into illegal sexual activity.
Steven Greenberg, Kelly’s lawyer, stated in an interview with Good Morning America earlier this year that his client was unaware of her age, and accused the deceased songstress of lying about how old she was at the time. Reporter Linsey Davis questioned Greenberg about the marriage at one point, asking (below):
“Was he married to Aaliyah when she was 15? So then, 15 is not of the age of legal consent, right?”
With little room to lie, Greenberg admitted for the first time the R&B singer “was married to her when she was 15.” He added:
“My understanding is that she did not claim to be 15. And in order to get married she had to lie about her age, And [R. Kelly] is saying he had no idea.”
However, the evidence says otherwise. A video surfaced shortly after the GMA interview with the accused on tape in 1994 stating he was producing a talented “14-year-old girl” in Aaliyah.
The musician has vehemently denied all accusations made against him, and currently faces four different sets of charges in three states, and is currently in an Illinois jail. His trial in New York is scheduled to begin in May 2020.

NEW YORK (AP) — Federal prosecutors are accusing singer R. Kelly of scheming with others to pay for a fake ID for an unnamed female a day before he married R&B singer Aaliyah, then 15 years old, in a secret ceremony in 1994.
One of R. Kelly’s longtime girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage, has come forward publicly to refute claims that she’s turned on the R&B singer after an Instagram account claiming to be her suggested as much. In a video obtained by TMZ, Savage, first reading pre-written statements on her cell phone, strongly denies the assertion that she had […]
Joycelyn Savage — the real Joycelyn Savage, apparently — is speaking out about her (real) relationship with R. Kelly… and she’s not backing down one bit!
As you’ll recall from our earlier reporting, a suspicious Patreon page popped up late last month proclaiming to be Savage ready to tell the “real story” about the embattled Chicago R&B crooner. There was just one problem: the site was never able to contact Savage and verify the page was actually her creation, and days after it popped up, Patreon officially removed it from their site, concerned it was being run by someone else.
Well, it appears the Patreon page really was a fake, because on Wednesday, Savage went on camera in a new video clip to deny the presence of social media accounts in her name, while doubling down on her support of the Bump ‘N Grind singer despite media coverage suggesting otherwise. In fact, to hear Joycelyn tell it here, both her and fellow GF Azriel Clary have never left Kelly’s side — and it sounds like they’ll go on supporting him forever!
The video, obtained by TMZ, shows Joycelyn sitting in front of the camera and reading from a pre-planned script on her phone. She opens her three-minute-long speech with a defense of the crooner from “all of the lies” and “all kinds of nonsense,” saying (below):
“I am truly tired of all the lies that they are saying about the man we love so much, and our best friend, R. Kelly. It has been said that I have left him, and he has abused me, and all kinds of nonsense. I have said before how none of it is true. It is a shame how they are treating him.”
Does anyone else wonder exactly who wrote this? Why not just speak if it’s the truth??
“It is so wrong on so many levels, and he does not deserve this. I am not going to be part of the assassination of R. Kelly’s name, music career, and his character. How will we ever be able to get a fair trial anywhere in the world with all these lies that are being told on him?”
She goes on from there, first mentioning Clary (who never shows up on camera) in her next passage, and adding more pleas for R. Kelly to get out of jail:
“Please free him and let him come home in peace. I promise you, he is not the person you guys think he is. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and Azriel. I talk to him every day, and I see him every two weeks. He truly wants to thank all of his fans for believing in him, plus he wants you guys to know that he appreciates all of your letters, and it takes him a while, but he reads them all.”
Imagine the kind of person who writes letters for R. Kelly to read while he sits in jail…
From there, Savage addresses the social media missteps, including the Patreon page — and, by name, a phony Instagram account that’s pretending to be her. She added:
“I just ask that you guys stop all this nonsense, and please give him his voice back. I also want to say please do not believe what you see and hear on social media. That is not my Instagram. Someone is impersonating me.
I just want everyone to know we still support him, and we will never betray him. Me and Azriel will forever love him. I truly apologize to all the fans that have been going through this tough time, you know, and I truly understand. It’s been hell for me, and Azriel as well, so we do appreciate all the love and all the positivity you guys have been giving us.”
And before we knew it, the big finish was upon us.
In the final minute, Joycelyn puts down the phone, stops reading from the script, looks directly into the camera, speaks from the heart:
“I know there’s a lot going on, but at the end of the day, I’m staying positive, and you’re not getting nowhere by being negative. I bring positivity, and I manifest that into my life. OK? That’s not me. I’m not the kind of girl that would do something like that, and betray him. I’ve been through so much with him, and we have a bond that is so special that no one can ever break.
Like, this is truly coming from my heart, I would never in a million years hurt him like this. I would never do that. So it’s just really, really, really sad that somebody would pretend to be me, and put it out in the world, and say that I’m a victim, that I’m brainwashed, that I’m a sex slave?! Lord have mercy, it doesn’t get worse than that. And that I have Stockholm Syndrome? That’s just really, really sad, and I’m just really heartbroken that all of this is going on. I just want him to come home in peace.”
Wow. That’s quite a lot to take in there, especially in that last passage, where Savage’s voice starts to crack, and she clearly becomes emotional over the whole issue.
Here’s the full video (below):
That’s quite a lot to unpack, of course, and we may never know who was behind the Patreon account if, as it appears, it really wasn’t Savage herself.
Just adding another layer of mystery and deception to an already remarkably difficult and bizarre case…
For now, there’s one thing we DO know: R. Kelly is stuck behind bars, still dealing with multiple federal and state sexual abuse cases. So even though Joycelyn sees him “every two weeks,” it doesn’t appear as though he’s going to “come home in peace” any time soon…
