Facebook is doubling down on dishy, daytime TV-style programming: The social media giant announced a three-year renewal of “Red Table Talk” with Jada Pinkett Smith and Westbrook Studios and ordered a new offshoot of the multi-generational family talk-show format with singer Gloria Estefan. The pact will keep “Red Table Talk,” one of the most popular […]
More left-wing journalists are waking up to the fact that unaccountable Silicon Valley corporations are ranking Americans with a system that bears a growing resemblance to China’s totalitarian “social credit” system — almost a year after Breitbart Tech pointed out the same thing.
Florida state senator and GOP chairman Joe Gruters joined Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Daily Tuesday to discuss his bill to defeat social media censorship.
A gay men’s group is claiming that Facebook shut down its page after transgender activists repeatedly reported the group for its stance on gender and sexual orientation.
Social media giant Facebook has apologized for an “error” that incorrectly translated Chinese dictator Xi Jinping’s name to mean “Mr. Shithole.”
The New York Times published an investigation recently into a little-known startup that helps law enforcement match photos of unknown people to their online images using facial recognition, and the privacy issues that are raised by the company and its massive database of photos.
Florida State Senator and GOP Leader Joe Gruters will announce a bill next week that will allow Floridians to sue social media companies that censor their political speech, and will restrict the ability of social media companies to use “hate speech” policies as a legal defense for censorship.
A group of companies behind now-defunct apps is suing Facebook, alleging that the company took part in an “anticompetitive scheme” that destroyed their business prospects.

Internet Accountability Project (IAP) Senior Adviser Rachel Bovard told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview Thursday that criticism over big tech should be a core issue for conservatives.
This is honestly probably going to be one of the craziest viral stories you’ll read this year. And we low-key kind of love it!!!
A Houston-area family has been suffering under the spell of an apparently-haunted Elsa doll, which originally was supposed to just recite phrases from Frozen before things started to get, ummm, a little wacky.
It all started back on Christmas Day, 2013, when Emily Madonia‘s daughter received it as a gift. The doll sang songs like Let It Go, and recited catchphrases from the hit Disney movie every time a button on its necklace was pressed. And for a while, everything was normal.
Until about two years later, that is… Emily explained the whole thing to Click 2 Houston, saying (below):
“For two years it did that in English. In 2015, it started doing it alternating between Spanish and English. There wasn’t a button that changed these, it was just random.”
Madonia insists her kids never did anything to tamper with the doll — no battery changes, etc. — so there’s no apparent reason why it would simply switch to Spanish.
Trash or Treasure?
But the Spanish-language update is only scratching the surface on this crazy story.
The real weird stuff began to happen this past December, six years after the fam first acquired the doll when they tried to toss it out during a bid to get rid of some stuff they no longer used.
Weeks after throwing the doll out in the trash, Madonia says she found it inside of a bench in the fam’s living room! WTF?!
The flabbergasted mom explained it more:
“The kids insisted they didn’t put it there, and I believed them because they wouldn’t have dug through the garbage outside.”
At that point, Elsa then began to only sing in Spanish, too! CREEPY!!!
After attempting to throw the doll away a second time — burying it at the bottom of the garbage can only for the fam’s youngest daughter to find it sitting outside their home several days later — Madonia updated the story on Facebook.
She sounds spooked, and understandably so, in writing out the sordid tale of terror:
“Ok guys, seriously, we need help. To recap for those of you who have not been following our Elsa doll saga, Mat threw it away weeks ago and then we found it inside a wooden bench … We were weirded out and tightly wrapped it in its own garbage bag and put that garbage bag INSIDE another garbage bag filled with other garbage and put it in the bottom of our garbage can underneath a bunch of other bags of garbage and wheeled it to the curb and it was collected on garbage day. Great, right? We went out of town, forgot about it. Today Aurélia says, ‘Mom, I saw the Elsa doll again in the backyard.’ HELP US GET RID OF THIS HAUNTED DOLL.”
Come on!!! Seriously?!
When she was asked if somebody was somehow pulling a prank on her, Madonia kept reverting back to logic — but again, a story this weird sort of defies logic, doesn’t it??
“The doll has some marker on her from my daughter coloring over the years, so I know the doll that reappeared was the original and not a replacement. … Most logical thinkers believe it’s a prank, but I don’t understand how or when it was done, especially because the garbage truck had taken it away.”
This is SO freakin’ weird.
(You can see picture proof of all these shenanigans HERE, by the way.)
The Final Attempt…
The second garbage incident was enough to convince Madonia that something else was going on — and it prompted her to mail poor little Elsa, in a box without a return address, to a family friend up in Minnesota. Madonia opined on the delivery, giving perhaps the quote of the century in conclusion:
“If the doll comes back, I might have to open my mind to some of the more supernatural solutions.”
Lucky for her, though, family friend Chris Hogan received the doll just fine up at his Minnesota home, and promptly taped it onto the front of his Jeep — where it will sit until, well, anything crazy happens.
Hogan shared one final update on the doll’s (apparently) final fit and potential future resting place, writing back to Madonia:
“… and now for the rest of the story. She made it to Minnesota, and she is taped to the brush guard of my Jeep. If anything weird happens I’m welding her into a steel pipe and sinking it in Lake of the Woods.”
What do U make of this one, Perezcious readers?! Seriously, like, what do we even do with this?? There are no words… So crazy!

Acclaimed screenwriter and director Paul Schrader posted a bizarre Facebook message Wednesday in which he pondered the possibility of giving his screenwriting students an assignment about a plot to kill President Donald Trump.
Chinese-owned social media app TikTok has overtaken Facebook to become the world’s second most downloaded app. Only the Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp has more installs globally.
Left-wing actor John Leguizamo is the latest Hollywood figure to turn on Mark Zuckerberg by calling the Facebook CEO a “tech gangster” and claiming that the social media company represents a direct threat to the electoral process.
Tom Arnold has become so preoccupied with Donald Trump that it’s taken over all aspects of his life — including, it seems, his increasingly toxic relationship with his ex-wife. According to a restraining order filed by Ashley Groussman, who split from the actor last year after 10 years of marriage, Arnold has threatened to withhold…
A recent bad code update on Facebook allowed anyone to see which accounts posted Facebook Pages, including those of celebrities and politicians. Among the pages exposed by the bug was teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, whose posts are often authored by her father Svante Thunberg or Adarsh Prathap, an Indian climate change activist.
Greta Thunberg doesn’t write her own Facebook posts. They are largely written for her by grown-up environmental activists including her father Svante Thunberg and an Indian delegate to the UN Climate Secretariat called Adarsh Pratap.
At the end of the year, I wrote that Silicon Valley had become petty over the last decade, tying itself in knots over minutiae like Nancy Pelosi parody videos. They no longer seemed interested in the big, utopian visions they initially promised. It is a great example of the old saying: you should be careful what you wish for.
It’s difficult to get conservatives to mourn the firing of a member of academia who cracks a flippant joke about America during a sensitive time. Whatever modicum of sympathy may have existed would probably vanish, too, if I told you the terminated faculty member’s job title was director of sustainability. Here’s the thing, though: Babson…
