Ronan Farrow’s been there.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist revealed that he, too, has been reportedly threatened by the National Enquirer following Jeff Bezos‘ claims that he was extorted and blackmailed by the tabloid.
On Thursday night, the 31-year-old tweeted:
I and at least one other prominent journalist involved in breaking stories about the National Enquirer’s arrangement with Trump fielded similar “stop digging or we’ll ruin you” blackmail efforts from AMI. (I did not engage as I don’t cut deals with subjects of ongoing reporting.) https://t.co/kHQdWIkVjV

Don’t mess with Ronan. In an April 2018 expose for The New Yorker, Mia Farrow’s son detailed the relationship between David Pecker — head of the Enquirer’s parent company, American Media Inc. — and Donald Trump, covering the magazine’s history of purchasing and burying stories that could damage his 2016 presidential campaign.
Recently, the Enquirer has put Bezos in its crosshairs: on Thursday, the Amazon CEO alleged that both the publication and AMI threatened to leak lewd photos of him unless he stopped investigating the tabloid’s coverage of his affair and publicly stated that their exposure wasn’t politically motivated.
It’s unclear if the Enquirer also threatened Farrow via his dick pics, but it’s definitely something to contemplate…
