REPORT: Veteran-owned company calls for Nike ban, issues T-shirt with Betsy Ross flag [VIDEO]

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by FOXBALTIMORE.COM:

A veteran-owned apparel company is jumping into the debate over Nike’s reported decision to pull shoes with an early American flag from shelves by offering some harsh criticism and their own shirts with the ‘Betsy Ross flag.’

Nine Line Apparel is a Savannah, Georgia-based company founded by a military veteran Tyler Meritt and his wife in 2012. In response to Nike’s decision and the debate surrounding it, Merritt says his company Nine Line Apparel has released a t-shirt featuring the flag created during the Second Continental Congress to show unity among the original 13 colonies.

The article goes on to state the following:

In a media release from the company, Meritt states ““Nike seeks profit through controversy, but with absolutely no regard for the consequences. In its corporatist wake, it leaves behind anti-American sentiment and division, harming our country. But since Nike has no interest in displaying the Betsy Ross flag, a classic symbol of freedom and unity, then we proudly will.”

NineLine Apparel shared the following video that was posted one year ago, in honor of Independence Day, titled, “I Stand For The Flag.”
