POLL: Should GOP Sen. apologize for calling CNN reporter a ‘hack’

One exchange this week sparked outrage with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.

CNN’s Manu Raju asked GOP Sen. Marth McSally (Ariz.) “Should the Senate consider new evidence as part of the impeachment trial?”

McSally answered by saying, “Manu, you’re a liberal hack. I’m not talking to you … You’re a liberal hack, buddy.

According to Blitzer, McSally’s answer “was disgusting, it was awful.”

Blitzer said told Raju. “Instead of answering a fair question, she simply called you a ‘liberal hack.’”

“She should know better,” he went on. “Certainly, you’re one of the most respected congressional reporters up on Capitol Hill.”

McSally defended her comment, explaining, “These CNN reporters, there are many of them around the Capitol. They are so biased and they are so cheerleading for the Democrats. They so can’t stand the president and they run around trying to ask trapping questions.”
