Jussie Smollett Cancels Concert Meet & Greet With Fans ‘For Security Reasons’

Jussie Smollett is not letting the racist, homophobic attack he suffered this week stop him from performing.

As we told you, his Saturday night concert at the Troubadour is still on, but he is changing up his routine.

Apparently he’s had to beef up security so much he can’t meet any fans. TMZ got hold of an email sent Friday afternoon to ticket holders breaking the news, saying:

“Jussie is so honored to perform for his fans, friends and family Saturday night. However, please forgive us. For security reasons we cannot accommodate any meet & greets.”

The email went on to tell those who had opted for the “meet & greet upgrade” they could get a refund — otherwise that money would be donated to the Black AIDS Institute in their name.

Sadly the extra security is probably a good idea. It seems to us calling out his attackers as saying “MAGA country” could actually provoke more violence from that crowd.

So awful.
