The Superbowl is set, the San Francisco 49ers will square off against the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami later this month. But one very big man won’t be on the field.
The Tennessee Titans lineman Dennis Kelly’s Superbowl dreams came to an end when his team lost in the Chiefs on Sunday, but even so, he will go down in the history books for his weight.
In the second quarter, the Titans offensive lineman caught a touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill to give Tennessee a 14-0 lead. At 321 pounds, he became the heaviest player in NFL history to record a touchdown catch in the playoffs.
The Chiefs rallied back for the win, so Kelly will have to watch the game from the sidelines, or perhaps he’d prefer to watch from the cafeteria?
Below is the video of Kelly catching his TD pass.
