Chris Brown doesn’t owe you any explanation.
In a dramatic video posted to Twitter on Thursday, the 29-year-old singer once again addresses the rape allegation that landed him in police custody last week.
Breezy already denied the allegation in a since-deleted social media post — he even started merchandising his denial — but now he’s further dismissing the “bulls**t” claim in this minute-long vignette.
The short film opens with a montage of the singer dancing around Paris to one of his songs. Then, the screen blacks out over the sound of car brakes slamming. Cut to: news headlines about the allegations, with Brown brooding as he recalls:
“My mom and grandma always said: ‘The Lord can give you a gift and he can take it away.’ I feel like I don’t have to explain any bull*h*t or any lie that somebody has been perpetrating…or portraying me as.”
The clip ends on an uplifting note, with the embattled star smiling as he looks at his phone and says, “We’re gonna shoot this motherf**kin’ video.”
