Schiff Now Openly Claiming Trump 2020 Victory Could Be Illegitimate

House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff no longer appears to be content to simply impeach President Donald Trump and is now openly casting doubt on the legitimacy of the president’s potential re-election victory. Schiff made the shocking comments during his opening statement in the Senate’s impeachment trial Wednesday. The California congressman claimed that Trump attempted to…

Stacey Abrams: ‘We Have To Stop Re-Litigating Past Elections’

Failed Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is urging Democrats to move beyond past elections and focus on the future.

Abrams’s Wednesday remarks to a crowd of University of New England students came despite her refusal to concede to Republican governor Brian Kemp and continued insistence that she actually won the race. Abrams struck a different tone when asked about the current 2020 Democratic presidential field.

“We have to stop re-litigating past elections and have to start planning for future elections,” she said, according to an Associated Press report. She called on Democrats to fight voter ID laws and efforts to purge voter rolls.

A Washington Free Beacon analysis found that Abrams had publicly stated she won the gubernatorial election a dozen times within six months of losing. Abrams, a former state representative, told the New York Times “I won” and argued on MSNBC that the election was “stolen” by Georgia Republicans.

Abrams’s plea to forget the past came the day after former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton renewed a public feud with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), her top primary challenger in 2016. “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done,” Clinton said in a Hollywood Reporter interview. “He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

Clinton initially declined to say whether she would endorse Sanders if the socialist Vermont senator won the nomination, though she later backtracked on Twitter.

Abrams likewise struck a neutral tone in the primary, telling students that Democrats had an “extraordinary crop” of candidates, adding that she would be “all in” if asked to help on the campaign trail. She has previously expressed willingness to serve as vice president under any of the Democratic candidates.

Fifteen Years Ago Today, Hillary Clinton Learned the Meaning of True Love

On this day in 2005, Donald J. Trump married the love of his life, Melania Knauss, in a tasteful church ceremony in Palm Beach, Fla. A grateful nation wishes them all the best as they celebrate 15 happy years together.

One of the attendees at the wedding happened to be a U.S. senator who would go on to become one of the least successful female presidential candidates in American history. Watching the Trumps declare their love for one another must have been one of the most poignant moments of Hillary Clinton’s life up to that point.

“I thought it’d be fun to go to his wedding, because it’s always entertaining,” Clinton said in 2015, more than a year prior to her humiliating loss to Trump in the general election. For once, she was telling the truth.

One can only imagine the pride Hillary must feel at having witnessed such a historic event, the joy she must have felt at seeing true love manifested for perhaps the first time in her life. As a self-proclaimed champion of women, Hillary must be in awe of Melania’s story, that of a hard-working immigrant model who fled the soul-crushing autocracy of the Iron Curtain only to become the highest-ranking woman in the freest country on earth.

Congratulations, President and Mrs. Trump!

Gabbard Sues Clinton for Calling Her a ‘Russian Asset’

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D., Hawaii) on Wednesday filed a defamation lawsuit against twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for “carelessly and recklessly” accusing her of being a Russian asset.

“Tulsi Gabbard is running for President of the United States, a position Clinton has long coveted, but has not been able to attain,” Gabbard’s attorney Brian Dunne said in a statement. “Although Rep. Gabbard’s presidential campaign continues to gain momentum, she has seen her political and personal reputation smeared and her candidacy intentionally damaged by Clinton’s malicious and demonstrably false remarks.”

Gabbard’s lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, says it seeks to hold “political elites” like Clinton accountable for “distorting the truth in the middle of a critical Presidential election.” It also contends that Clinton made her accusations with “obvious malicious intent.”

“The Defamatory Statements have injured Tulsi’s reputation,” the lawsuit says. “As a direct and proximate result of Clinton’s intentional and malicious misconduct, Tulsi has suffered anguish and damage to her reputation, with direct and substantial injury to her positions as United States Congresswoman; Presidential candidate; and officer in the Army National Guard.”

The lawsuit, which estimates the damages to be $50 million and counting, is in response to an October interview in which Clinton claimed President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is preparing the Russian “favorite” Gabbard to run as a third-party candidate.

“I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said. “She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”

“That’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not, because she’s also a Russian asset,” Clinton added. “She’s a Russian asset, I mean totally.”

Gabbard responded at the time by calling Clinton the “the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.”

Hillary Clinton maintains in a new interview that she had no inkling of the alleged sexual misconduct of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. Clinton Offers Evidence-Free Warning to Dems: GOP Will ‘Steal Votes’ in 2020

I’m not a Hulu subscriber, which means I won’t be catching the new Clinton hagiography “Hillary” when it premieres in March. More’s the pity. I can absorb the coverage during the media roll-out however, which is obviously enough. Her batting-practice interview with The Hollywood Reporter, published Tuesday, is about the level of coverage you should…

Hillary Clinton Pleads Ignorance About Harvey Weinstein Despite Multiple Warnings

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton claimed there was no way she could have known about Harvey Weinstein’s history of alleged sexual assault, despite multiple women saying they warned her campaign.

“How could we have known?” Clinton said when asked by the Hollywood Reporter about her longstanding relationship with Weinstein. “He raised money for me, for the Obamas, for Democrats in general. And that at the time was something that everybody thought made sense. And of course, if all of us had known what we know now, it would have affected our behavior.”

Several Hollywood insiders have said that the Clinton camp was well aware of his predatory behavior. In a 2017 profile of the “complicity machine” that allowed Weinstein to evade punishment, the New York Times reported that two high-profile women, journalist Tina Brown and actress Lena Dunham, warned people close to Clinton about the Hollywood mogul, who is now standing trial for sexual assault.

Brown, the former editor in chief of the Daily Beast, claimed in an interview that she told a member of Clinton’s inner circle about Weinstein during the 2008 campaign. “I was hearing that Harvey’s sleaziness with women had escalated since I left Talk in 2002 and she was unwise to be so closely associated with him,” Brown said. Dunham was even more direct.

“I just want to let you know that Harvey’s a rapist and this is going to come out at some point. I think it’s a really bad idea for him to host fundraisers and be involved because it’s an open secret in Hollywood that he has a problem with sexual assault,” Dunham recalled telling 2016 campaign deputy communications director Kristina Schake.

Dunham, a Clinton surrogate, said the staffer responded by saying she would pass the message to campaign manager Robby Mook. Dunham also said that she gave a similar warning to campaign spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod. Both women denied to the Times that Dunham had mentioned rape, while Mook said he never received any warning.

Clinton’s professed ignorance also comes despite journalist Ronan Farrow’s claim that the failed candidate’s staff attempted to pressure him when he first began investigating Weinstein at NBC in 2017.

“Hillary Clinton had scheduled an interview while I was at the height of the Weinstein reporting, and her folks got in touch and said, ‘We hear you’re working on a big story,’ sounded very concerned, and tried to cancel that interview,” Farrow told ABC News in 2018. “Over the Weinstein stuff.”

Farrow’s report led alleged Weinstein victim and Clinton supporter, Rose McGowan, to publicly attack the former secretary of state. “I knew that Hillary Clinton’s people were protecting the Monster,” the actress tweeted. “I guess predators are her style.”

Clinton: Republicans Will ‘Steal Votes’ in 2020 Election

Hillary Clinton said she has warned Democrats running for president that Republicans will “steal votes” in the upcoming election.

“Whoever gets the nomination, you’ve got to deal with the structural challenges that the Republicans and their allies have put in your way,” Clinton told the Hollywood Reporter in a preview for the upcoming Hulu documentary about her life. “So, that means you’ve got to deal with voter suppression, because they’ll steal votes or they’ll prevent votes from happening. They’re now trying to purge voters so that they can try to limit the electorate.”

Clinton blasted Donald Trump in 2016 when he suggested he wouldn’t accept the results of the election, saying Trump’s remark was a “direct threat to our democracy.” She also called him a “sore loser.”

Clinton also said she told the women in the 2020 race they could run a great campaign and still get beaten.

“I’ve tried to tell all the candidates the same thing, but with the women, I say, ‘You’re probably not going to be treated fairly, don’t let it knock you off stride,'” she said.

Clinton has blamed voter suppression for her 2016 loss, once claiming up to 80,000 Wisconsin residents were turned away at the polls because of skin color, age, or “whatever excuse.” She also said the Supreme Court striking down a portion of the Voting Rights Act led to fewer people being registered to vote in Georgia in 2016 than in 2012. Both claims were false; the Washington Post‘s fact checker gave Clinton’s remarks four “Pinocchios.”

Clinton has blamed a wide variety of factors for her loss in 2016, including Russian election interference, Facebook, former FBI director James Comey, the Electoral College, the Democratic National Committee, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), her 2016 primary challenger.

Clinton said she had talked to nearly all of the candidates running, with Sanders among the exceptions. She discusses the Vermont senator in the Hulu documentary, calling him a “career politician” whom “nobody likes” and who “got nothing done.”

For the first time, Miranda will hit the slopes in Park City, Utah, to rub […]
