Elizabeth Warren Should Do The Right Thing and Drop Out Now

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) is probably right that a female candidate doesn’t stand a chance of beating President Donald J. Trump in the general election. That doesn’t mean a woman can’t win the Democratic primary. In fact, for all intents and purposes, a woman has already won the contest and her name isn’t Elizabeth Warren.

It’s Nancy Pelosi.

Thanks to Pelosi’s strategic decision to delay sending the House-approved articles of impeachment to the Senate, Warren doesn’t really have a choice but to drop out. The most recent polling out of the early primary states does not bode well for her chances.

A new WBUR poll published Thursday found Warren in fourth place at 13 percent among likely Democratic voters in New Hampshire. Sanders, meanwhile, had opened up a commanding lead, at 29 percent, which is an improvement of 14 percentage points since December. Unemployed 38-year-old Pete Buttigieg was in second place at 17 percent, while Joe Biden placed third at 14 percent.

The WBUR poll also showed Sanders with a significant advantage in terms of favorability, with 74 percent of respondents expressing a favorable opinion of the elderly socialist, compared to just 60 percent for Warren and 57 percent for Biden.

The most recent voter survey from “the best pollster in Iowa” also found Sanders leading both Warren and Biden, albeit by a smaller margin. National polling, meanwhile, continues to show Warren lagging behind in third place. She is polling at just 14.8 percent nationally, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average, compared to 22 percent for Sanders and 28.7 percent for Biden.

A recent SurveyUSA poll of registered voters nationwide found Sanders outperforming all other Democratic candidates in a hypothetical matchup against President Trump. According to the poll, voters preferred Sanders to Trump by a margin of 52 percent to 43 percent, while Warren edged the incumbent president by a much smaller margin, 48 percent to 45 percent.

Warren’s desperate gambit to improve her standing in the race, which involved the not-so-subtle “leak” of a private conversation in which Sanders allegedly told her he didn’t think a woman could become president, has failed. She should do the right thing by ending her misguided campaign in order to focus on the important work of impeaching Trump in the Senate.

Meanwhile, Biden, the Democratic frontrunner, can hit the campaign trail in Iowa and New Hampshire, where he’ll either lock up the party’s nomination or humiliate himself out of contention, paving the way for a Sanders victory.

Warren is understandably upset by how the Democratic primary has played out. She’s even managed to disappoint Michael Moore, of all people. After her attempt to shiv Bernie didn’t go as planned, Warren has taken to lashing out at voters on the campaign trail. The stress of those endless “selfie” sessions is clearly starting to weigh on her. It’s time for Warren to do the right thing and stop the madness before things get out of hand.

Bernie Sanders Surges Into the Lead in New Post-Debate Poll

Support for Democratic presidential primary candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders seems to be surging in the aftermath of the Jan. 14 debate, the last before voting gets underway at the Iowa caucuses later this month. National polling results released Wednesday by CNN reveal the radical progressive Vermont senator has shifted into the lead, with the support…

Stacey Abrams: ‘We Have To Stop Re-Litigating Past Elections’

Failed Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is urging Democrats to move beyond past elections and focus on the future.

Abrams’s Wednesday remarks to a crowd of University of New England students came despite her refusal to concede to Republican governor Brian Kemp and continued insistence that she actually won the race. Abrams struck a different tone when asked about the current 2020 Democratic presidential field.

“We have to stop re-litigating past elections and have to start planning for future elections,” she said, according to an Associated Press report. She called on Democrats to fight voter ID laws and efforts to purge voter rolls.

A Washington Free Beacon analysis found that Abrams had publicly stated she won the gubernatorial election a dozen times within six months of losing. Abrams, a former state representative, told the New York Times “I won” and argued on MSNBC that the election was “stolen” by Georgia Republicans.

Abrams’s plea to forget the past came the day after former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton renewed a public feud with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), her top primary challenger in 2016. “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done,” Clinton said in a Hollywood Reporter interview. “He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

Clinton initially declined to say whether she would endorse Sanders if the socialist Vermont senator won the nomination, though she later backtracked on Twitter.

Abrams likewise struck a neutral tone in the primary, telling students that Democrats had an “extraordinary crop” of candidates, adding that she would be “all in” if asked to help on the campaign trail. She has previously expressed willingness to serve as vice president under any of the Democratic candidates.

Tulsi Gabbard Announces Lawsuit Against Hillary Clinton Over ‘Maliciously Made False Statements’

Democratic presidential primary candidate Tulsi Gabbard upped the ante this week, filing a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Hillary Clinton. Coming in light of a major media standoff between the two late last year, the suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges Clinton did tangible damage…

Journalists Can’t Stop Giving Mitch McConnell Badass Nicknames

Democrats and journalists—to the extent that there is a meaningful difference—can’t stop coming up with nicknames for Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) that make the Senate majority leader sound like a total badass, which he is.

The latest, via lib journalist Carl Bernstein, is “Midnight Mitch”—a reference to the Senate impeachment trial rules McConnell recently proposed. Some have criticized the rules because, among other reasons, the late-night schedule could make it harder for grandstanding Democratic senators to get video clips of their grandstanding played on evening news programs.

In any event, some users of the popular social networking website Twitter pointed out that “Midnight Mitch” is a pretty badass nickname.

If you thought that would stop Democratic lawmakers from turning “Midnight Mitch” into a stupid hashtag, you’d be wrong.

If they’d stop lying to themselves and the American people for once, Democrats and their allies in the media could finally admit how terrified they are of what Midnight Mitch has in store for them in 2020.

It’s certainly not the first badass nickname members of the media have bestowed on the formidable Senate leader. MSNBC host Joe Scarborough dubbed McConnell “Moscow Mitch” in 2019 after the majority leader refused to go along with the phony Russia witch hunt hoax. Multiple House Democrats have recycled the title, but that hasn’t stopped McConnell, who is too busy getting conservative justices confirmed to the Supreme Court and every other federal bench in the land.

Their depravity notwithstanding, lib journalists were not responsible for McConnell’s best nickname, “Cocaine Mitch.” That was the brainchild of Don Blankenship, a former coal executive who ran for Senate (unsuccessfully) in the West Virginia GOP primary in 2018. Blankenship promised voters he would “ditch Cocaine Mitch” if elected, suggesting that McConnell was somehow implicated in reports that 90 pounds of cocaine had been seized aboard a shipping vessel owned by his father-in-law.

Being a badass, McConnell embraced the nickname. In addition to playfully celebrating Blankenship’s defeat in the GOP Senate primary, McConnell’s campaign website gave supporters a chance to “own a piece of history” by purchasing their very own “Cocaine Mitch” t-shirts.

Bow down to the legend, libs. He’s got your number.

AOC Calls Democratic Party ‘Center-Conservative,’ Would Drag It Further to the Left

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is as far left as they come in American politics, and that’s saying something with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders around. But if AOC has her way, her entire party will follow her lead. As things currently stand, even with the Democratic Party’s shift to the far left in recent years,…

Trump Accuses Pelosi of ‘Rigging’ Primary in Favor of Biden with Impeachment Timing

Republicans this week revived the Democratic Party’s primary-rigging scandal of 2016 and accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of timing her transfer of the articles of impeachment to impact the Democratic presidential race. During the 2016 primary, leaked documents revealed that the Democratic National Committee did the bidding of candidate Hillary Clinton to increase her chances…

If ‘Believe Women’ Applies to Warren, Shouldn’t Libs Always Believe Sarah Sanders & Kellyanne?

Democrats often find themselves tripping over their own words to justify whatever social justice platform they are promoting on any given day. A case in point is the “believe-all-women” mantra that has been the cornerstone of the #MeToo movement — a mantra which asks people to believe women who accuse men of sexual assault. The…

Dem Candidate: Chuck Schumer Doesn’t Think a Black Woman Can Win in North Carolina

State senator Erica Smith (D., N.C.) is trying to become the third black woman in history to serve in the U.S. Senate. Unfortunately, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) doesn’t think a black candidate can win in North Carolina.

That’s what Smith, a former Boeing engineer, told a group of North Carolina voters at a recent campaign event while discussing the national Democratic Party’s endorsement of her white male primary opponent, Cal Cunningham.

“Sen. Schumer, for whatever reason, did not want an African American running for Senate in North Carolina,” said Smith, who has previously attacked the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) for breaking its pledge to remain neutral in the Democratic primary.

The national party’s endorsement of Cunningham in October, Smith said at the time, was “unacceptable” and “confirm[ed] [the DSCC’s] attempt to sway this U.S. Senate election away from the voices and voters of North Carolina.”

According to Smith, DSCC executives told her “unequivocally, that they were not, had not, did not intend to endorse in the primary,” before officially backing Cunningham’s campaign.

In the weeks before Cunningham, a former state senator, announced his candidacy, his campaign received $152,000 from donors based in New York, all but two of whom have also donated to Schumer. The New York donations accounted for more than a third of Cunningham’s itemized contributions for the second quarter of 2019, according to federal election records.

With Schumer’s help, Cunningham has raised more than $3 million since entering the Democratic primary in June, including $1.6 million in the final three months of 2019. Cunningham’s fundraising haul included a $2,800 maximum contribution from liberal billionaire George Soros. Smith has not yet reported her fourth-quarter fundraising total.

“It’s not always Republicans who are putting big money [into campaigns],” Smith said at the recent campaign event. “Somebody’s going to be beholden to Chuck Schumer and New York millionaires and billionaires.”

The DSCC previously endorsed Cunningham during his failed bid in the 2010 Democratic Senate primary. North Carolina secretary of state Elaine Marshall, who defeated Cunningham in a run-off that year before losing to incumbent Sen. Richard Burr (R., N.C.), lashed out in similar fashion at the party establishment’s meddling in the race.

“North Carolina Democrats do not appreciate Washington trying to handpick or anoint their candidate,” Marshall said during the campaign.

Whichever candidate wins the primary on March 3 will face off against incumbent Sen. Thom Tillis (R., N.C.), assuming he can fend off several challengers in the GOP primary. A poll taken weeks prior to Cunningham’s campaign announcement showed Smith leading Tillis by seven points, 46 percent to 39 percent. Even so, Democratic strategists at the time were raising concerns about Smith’s viability in a general election and attempting to recruit Cunningham to enter the primary.

One of the Democrats courted by party brass, state senator Jeff Jackson, a white man, was caught on tape recounting the strategic advice he received during a meeting with Schumer. Speaking to a politics class at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Jackson recalled telling Schumer that, if he decided to run, he would hold “100 town halls in 100 days” in each of the state’s 100 counties.

According to Jackson, the Senate leader’s response was: “Wrong answer—we want you to spend the next 16 months in a windowless basement raising money, and then we’re going to spend 80 percent of it on negative ads about Tillis.”

CNN Releases Audio from Heated Warren-Sanders Post-Debate Clash

Newly released audio has revealed what Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren said to each other during their altercation following Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa. Sanders and Warren have been at odds this week after CNN reported Monday that Sanders told Warren in a private December 2018 meeting he…

N.Y. Justice Dem Appears to Support Substituting Art Class for Jail Time

A New York City congressional candidate endorsed by the same progressive group that backed Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) appears to support supplanting jail time with art classes.

Democrat congressional hopeful Jamaal Bowman on Wednesday shared an article detailing a New York City program that allows arrestees to avoid prosecution by attending a two-hour art course. Brooklyn district attorney Eric Gonzalez said the program is about “holding people accountable.” Any perpetrator who attends the course has their case dismissed with no criminal record registered.

Those eligible for the program include shoplifters and trespassers.

According to an artist involved in the program, the class consists of “a group discussion of the artworks and an art-making workshop.”

In his tweet sharing the article, Bowman quoted one of the program’s participants. The arrestee said the program “definitely helped me avoid the anxiety of having to attend an actual court date for a mistake I made.”

Bowman, a former Bronx middle school principal, is running to unseat incumbent Rep. Eliot Engel (D.) from the left in New York’s 16th district. Endorsed by Justice Democrats, Bowman is a proponent of the Green New Deal, the multi-trillion dollar program touted by fellow New York progressive Ocasio-Cortez.

Bowman has called “white male domestic terrorism” the “biggest issue in our country” and supports disarming New York City police officers.

The Bowman campaign did not respond to a request for comment by press time.

NARCAHONTAS: Warren Leaks Private Discussion With Sanders About Previously Leaked Private Discussion

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) can’t stop snitching. The underperforming presidential candidate, best known for being the first woman of color employed by Harvard Law School, has apparently leaked the details of a second private conversation with 2020 rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).

For the second time this week, a major media outlet reported the details of a private discussion between Warren and Sanders, according to “people familiar with the exchange.” This most recent conversation took place Tuesday night after the Democratic primary debate in Iowa, during which the two candidates sparred over the allegations contained in a CNN report regarding a private meeting between Warren and Sanders in 2018.

The post-debate confrontation was caught on camera, but the lack of any audio recording caused many to speculate as to the contents of the exchange, which did not appear to be friendly in nature.

On Wednesday, the New York Times published an account of the discussion based on anonymous sources. As many surmised, the subject of the leaked conversation was, in fact, the previously leaked conversation:

People familiar with the exchange said Ms. Warren walked over and told Mr. Sanders that she was concerned that, during the debate, he had mischaracterized a conversation they had in 2018 about whether a woman could win the presidency. She has accused him of saying that a woman could not; he has denied that remark.

Appearing frustrated, Mr. Sanders asked to discuss the matter at a different time, said the people, who insisted on anonymity to discuss a sensitive, private conversation. He pointed his finger toward her, then back at himself, before turning and walking away.

It is widely assumed that Warren deliberately orchestrated the leak of (her version of) the 2018 conversation in an effort to bolster her flailing campaign at Sanders’s expense, less than a month before voters in Iowa and New Hampshire head to the polls.

Anti-capitalist filmmaker Michael Moore, a longtime supporter of Warren’s, accused her of spreading a “malicious lie” about Sanders and criticized her tendency to “embellish the truth” for political gain.

Michael Moore Laments ‘The Sad Downfall of Elizabeth Warren’

Michael Moore, the multi-millionaire socialist filmmaker best known for losing a bunch of weight, could not contain his anguish over the recent campaign spat between Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).

In the most recent episode of Moore’s podcast, Rumble, the filmmaker lamented “the sad downfall of Elizabeth Warren” and expressed his despair and disbelief that the candidate would promote such a “malicious lie” about Sanders.

“Any of us who have known Bernie forever know automatically, we don’t even have to hear him denying it, that there’s no way he would say this because there’s no way he thinks that,” said Moore, who recalled being “paralyzed” earlier this week after reading the CNN report accusing Sanders of telling Warren he did not think a woman could be president.

“After almost 48 hours of this, and after watching the debate last night, I just felt like a knife in my heart,” Moore said. “I’m not angry about this, I’m just really sad. These are two people that I know and love, and one of them [Warren] decided to take the pin out of a hand grenade and throw it at this other good person [Sanders].”

Moore described Warren, who has appeared in a number of his anti-capitalist documentaries, as someone he holds in “very high esteem” and has long viewed as an “intellectual, spiritual guru of all the things that are wrong with capitalism.” Upon seeing the CNN report, Moore said he had assumed Warren would quickly apologize and refute the story, and was shocked when Warren released a “disingenuous” statement “continuing the lie.”

At one point, Moore discussed what he would say to Warren directly about the controversy.

“Why are you doing this, so you can win?” he said. “Well, I have news for you and anybody else running on the Democratic side. This isn’t about you winning. This isn’t about you gaining this office. This is about us. This is about removing Trump.”

Moore, who officially endorsed Sanders in October at a rally in New York alongside Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), went on to criticize Warren’s tendency to “embellish the truth” for political gain—from her false claims of Native American heritage to falsely describing her father as a “janitor.” The filmmaker even discussed the Washington Free Beacon‘s reporting on Warren’s false claim that she sent her children to public school.

You hate to see it.

Ex-ICE Director Homan: Dem Debate Avoided Immigration Because Trump Has Already Beaten Them on It

They must know a loser when they see it. For most of President Donald Trump’s term in office, his handling of illegal immigration has been a hot-button item for Democratic candidates and their base, with firebrands like Rep.
