A 13-year-old student has been arrested after police found an AR-15 rifle, ammunition, a drawing layout of his middle school and a list of intended victims in at his home.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced on Friday that the teen had been taken into custody but they would not release his name.

At a press conference on Friday, Sheriff Alex Villanueva said multiple students had overheard him at Animo Mae Middle School in Los Angeles on Thursday saying he was going to attack the school the next day.
Sheriff Villanueva said the students alerted teachers of what they had heard, and police were notified. After getting a search warrant to search the teen’s home, law enforcement officials discovered the AR-15 rifle, ammo, a hand drawn map and a list of names.
Sheriff Villanueva said multiple school shooting threats had been made since the Saugus High School shooting last week.
